FAFSA TOOLKIT

Premiered during the May 2024 CACNY General Body Meeting, now available for the CACNY Community is a comprehensive FAFSA Toolkit. Within this toolkit is:

• Senior Year College Prep Checklist
• Important deadlines
• FAFSA Simplification Fact Sheet
• A compilation of tools from New York FAFSA Ready and HESC about the FAFSA Form, FSA IDs, contributors, dependency, and unusual circumstances
• A guide on reporting tax information and assets from NCAN and uAspire
• Information and resources from Federal Student Aid (FSA) about the FAFSA Simplification Act, making corrections, common FAFSA mistakes, FAQs, and FERPA
• Managing Data Protection and Confidentiality (including best practices around privacy for working with students and families)
