CACNY membership is open to high schools, colleges, and community-based organizations (CBOs) that are committed to helping young people from New York pursue a college education.

Membership Type & Annual Dues

• Colleges/Universities
  This category covers divisions of colleges and universities with the authority to recruit and admit students for undergraduate admission.
  Dues: $75
• High Schools
  This category includes public, parochial, and private high schools in the five boroughs of New York City. Most often, members represent schools' guidance or college offices.
  Dues: $35
• Community-Based Organizations
  This category includes college access programs run by CBOs as well as programs that are based on a college campus but are not involved in admitting students for undergraduate admission. Upward Bound, Talent Search, and Liberty Partnerships programs are included in this category.
  Dues: $35
• Individuals
  In certain cases, individuals who have worked with college access programs or for a CACNY member school or college and who continue to be active in the field, as consultants to organizations or as job seekers, may apply for an individual membership. Acceptance is on a case-by-case basis.
  Dues: $35

Activating Your Membership

If you would like to become a member, please complete the following two steps:

1. Complete the Online CACNY Membership Application Form
   CACNY prefers that you complete an online membership application form. Please take a few minutes to provide CACNY with contact information and a description of your programs and opportunities.
   • Access the CACNY online membership form.
   • Download the CACNY application for manual submission.
   • Independent Counselor/Educational Consultants must obtain a referral for membership from a current CACNY member who is familiar with the applicant in a professional capacity for a period of at least two years. Referral Form
2. Send the CACNY Check Submission Form
   Once the online registration form is completed, please download a check submission form. Please complete this form and mail, along with your check or money order, to:

3. After Membership is Activated
   After CACNY receives your fee and you complete your online membership from, your membership will be activated and the name of your organization and general contact information will appear on the CACNY website.
   
   To use the membership services, go to the membership page and insert your username and password. As a member, you can:
   • edit the CACNY online membership information independently,
   • search for information about members by alpha order, geographic location and type of membership,
   • access additional information about members' programs and services, and
   • register to use the CACNY listserv services that provides information about members' programs and opportunities.
4. Sharing Information for CACNY Listserv
   Once you are a member, the communications liaison will include your email address on the CACNY listserv. To provide information, please email koryymcbride@gmail.com.
